I think I somewhat look forward to it. ICEs are a maintenance headache.

Because the landowners get a NICE yearly check for NO WORK.
Do you know if the contracts with the power company prohibit this?
The contract is a 30 year lease. Land owner get a check yearly duting that time period. That about all I know about it, besides it's all I've worked on for almost 2 years and I'm sick of it!
The problem with the "solar industry" is it is not an industry. It is a tax loophole that you and I are paying for. The people or corporations that put these in get enormous tax credits. Not DEDUCTIONS, but credits that negate Federal and State taxes they should have to pay. Then the local utility company is then forced by federal governtmen to buy the electricity at 26 cents a Kw but they then sell it back to you and I at a lower rate. Of course it causes the overall cost of utilities to go up in the long run

I also have seen how much the companies are making that are building these solar farms are making. When the government is ultimately paying the bill cost restraint and competition go out the window. IMHO opinion this keeps the cost of solar panels artificially high, if the free market system were allowed to run with this it might ultimately get to be an affordable option.

Don't worry when (fill in the blank with one of the morons running for president) gets in it will all be fixed!

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Back on topic... ;)

Screw jet packs or flying cars with old fashion "wings". I can't wait for this...

Elon Musk should get right on that. And I think this is my new motto...

Your car will run just fine on alcohol so don't worry.

The real problem to bake your noodle is the increasing rarity of all resources with scarcity for increasing numbers of people caused by overpopulation.

There are too many people now and no signs of people stopping reproduction to improve the conditions of human ecology. Running out of fuel will seem minor when a malthusian catastrophe happens.
