Just saw a press release about this place and got a little excited, until I read more info.

Apparently this is the reborn Dunn-Benson Dragstrip, and despite being called a Motorsports Park, they really only have a dragstrip and a tractor pull area. Was kind of hoping they might have some sort of roadcourse, or at least a paved area large enough for AutoX. The might have an area suitable for RallyX, would be worth checking on.

I am thinking a grassroots "LeMons" style tractor pull might work? ;)

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

They have a "monster jam" event on the schedule as well.

A few guys i know that are serious straight line guys say they have poured a bunch of money into this spot. I sent some info to Brice as well as there is a big NEW paved parking area, might work for us cone dodgers if they would let us.

According to google maps which the imagery is from 2016, I don't see a suitable paved area for autocross unfortunately. I guess it's possible they've paved since the image was taken, it's fairly recent imagery though.

Looking at the drone video clips on the Galot site, it looks like they paved a huge area to the east of the strip.

Ahh yeah, that looks newer than what googles imagery had. There was some paved area there before but it didn't look nearly that big before. It could be a possibility.

There were a bunch of light poles sitting there that hadn't been installed yet, so it also depends on where they put those, but I think there will be enough pavement to lay out a course. Someone should drive over there and look around.
