Wheel lugs loosened on son in law's camping trailer, trashing the steel inserts in the aluminum wheel. Anyone have any experience with this level of wheel repair?

Probably cheaper to buy new wheels than repair the damaged ones.

Replacing was my first thought as well, but he really liked the wheels. The trailer has two on & a spare. I figured the spare could be a cheap steel wheel, but I thought I'd check around.

When I called the shops around Raleigh, a new wheel was less than the cost for repair. YMMV.
