I'm looking for somewhere locally or possibly online that would have a square/rectangular damper for my return HVAC run in the house. My basement is 8 degrees cooler and I want to pull that air and circulate it upstairs, so I am going to add a return register with filter. That seems reasonably straight forward, but I would also like to add a damper so in the winter time I can close/restrict it and not distribute cold air throughout the house. I know I could just replace the filter with some plywood, but I'm looking for something a bit more elegant.
Home Depot and Lowes sell plenty of round outbound dampers, but I can't find any rectangular ones.
Any ideas?
