Heard a small "breaking news" announcement about this on the 11pm local news last night, without any details.


Looks like a Motorcycle race team owner/racer was one of those killed, not sure who the other person was. Hard to tell from these reports what actually happened, but that one cellphone video makes it look like they were doing some showing off before the crash.

It was John Couch of TOBC Racing. I was there Saturday for the CCS race and they didn't open the North part of the track until after 3pm. So they had to get the practice sessions in and then shorten all the races to finish up by 6:30.

From what I heard from one of the motorcycle racers I talked to in the paddock he was buzzing the track and doing barrel rolls and such. Apparently he didn't pull out of a stunt quick enough and plowed into the hill side with all the brush in Patriot course.
