I know nothing about them and we need a new projector for the track program. I have no idea what to look for. Anyone got any advice?

This is what reminded me and there are a few at decent price points. Would any of them fit the bill?

Speaking of which... today's tech deal I don't know if the club wants to drop $650 on one, but that one's pretty good.

How far are you projecting and what size screen? Also, is this outside or in a closed room where you can control light levels? I "may" have a few in my house.

Sorry, just now seeing this. If I had to guess, less than 10 feet usually. Normal size pull down screen. The rooms we use it in, lights can be shut off, but it's still not that dark.
