Click Me , for some musical accompaniment.

There is a hint of Fall in the air, Winter will soon be here and all Tarheel members now turn their thoughts to how to avoid the inevitable call of the railroading whistle.

Seriously, being an officer in this club is a great way to get involved and meet your fellow club members. It can be challenging at times but also very rewarding.

Art and I are compiling an initial slate of candidates to nominate at the October club meeting. If you are interested in being on the ballot this year please contact us. If you want to nominate a friend you can let us know that as well.

You can also just show up to the October meeting if you are interested in running. Attendance is also recommended if you wish to prevent your nomination. I look forward to seeing you all there.

I'm not going to be able to make the meeting next week, but I'm claiming Zach Hill to help with the track program next year as we have already been in discussions with him.

All right I got Zack as track helper and Brice as Autocross VP.

Any other takers or should I just start randomly adding names?

I'll be happy to re-up for Sargent at Arms, but work and other crap won't allow for much more right now. In a few years I wouldn't mind doing all of this again...

That said, I nominate James Short for Prez as he's done an excellent job this year...

I'm out for worker coordinator. It wasn't 1/2 as bad as people made it out to be. I just doubt I'm going to do a full season of AX next year.

Unfortunately, my wife is going to have to bail as registrar. Between that and the worker coordinator position vacated by James, we have TWO paid positions (free entry) available people, who wants them!

I may interested in the worker coordinator position as long as it does not require critical thinking :D

It's a tough decision for me to make since I have really enjoyed being a part of the autocross program this year, but I have decided I'd like to be on the ballot for Track VP for 2014. We have a lot of good people on board for the autocross program, and with the passing of Don and others getting out of the track program, I'd like to aim my efforts there to ensure the track program has a healthy future (and that Stephen and Brad don't get burned out doing everything themselves!).

However, I fully intend on participating fully in the autocross program next year, so I will still be around. :) For me, I think this is about 6 years running now, each year being more motorsports-intensive than the last, and I don't plan on stopping that trend anytime soon.

I would also like to nominate Derek DeLong for Autocross VP. I'll make sure he shows up at the railroadi...I mean club meeting next week.

I'm up to be a worker coordinator again.

I nominate Hashim Beltaji for worker coordinator, as well.
