One of my clients (true story) got a ticket in Wake County on 64, wouldn't tell me how much but I know it was over 80. Anybody got any recommendations? I told her to wait until she got letters and then call but she want's me to recommend!

I CAN'T recommend Glenn E Gray as a lawyer, wasn't happy w/ his service from a few years ago.

It has been years since my last serious ticket, but I can highly recommend Karl Knudsen. He has been around for years and his office is in downtown Raleigh. He got me out of a pretty serious jam once and I remain grateful for it. I will never forget the advice he offered me while reviewing my situation in his office "Son, If your going to break the law, don't break more than one at the time".

Karl Knudsen also did a great job for me during my recent arrest and trip to jail over the Duff car inspection. He got a felony charge changed to a non-criminal infraction with a $50 fine.

OK, this needs further 'plaining pls. Jail for the Duff car inspection? I'm assuming this was a fake jail at the course?

He explained at a meeting (back when it was at Rudino's), but you might have been out of town or something. http://forums.24hoursoflemons.com/viewtopic.php?id=8029

On topic: I think Kurtz & Blum got me out of 2 tickets, but mine have all been boring speeding ones. I also haven't gotten one in a while, so my familiarity with the legal system is a bit rusty.

I used Season Atkinson for my last ticket, was pretty painless. Cut them a check with a price agreed on before the trial, if they flubbed it they ate the extra cost. I *think* mine was a 84 in a 65. Ended up with a 9 over PJC and I the bill was in the low 200s. Laura also ran a ticket through them which is how I found out about their firm.

WOW, that's cheep! I assume court costs were extra? Last time I had to pay them they were far more than the fine itself at $100+ in Wake County and they had to be paid regardless of the outcome.

Nope, ~220 all in. I mailed them a check and the ticket, they mailed back a letter with the outcome.
