When I bought the mazda, I knew I needed to replace the tires since the right rear was cupping. I also had to replace the t-stat last night to kill a CEL code so I could get the car inspected. After looking at the front right tire, it won't pass, the others are OK tread depth wise.

May I borrow a treaded mazda wheel/tire so I can get it inspected? I would like to pick up this evening and I'll return it to you tomorrow. I tried installing the mustang tires on it, buy they are simply too big, hit the bottom of the spring perch. This is a 17" wheel and has the 5 lug pattern.

the only wheels I have are the ones on the car, or my millenia wheels w/ corded R-comps on them. I sold my stockers long ago.

Rats.... was hoping you'd my "go to" guy to borrow a wheel. So, just a thought, would the 16" wheels you're running fit on this car? I'll just swap out the entire set to have it inspected. My front right is horrible, just at the wear bars.

Maybe someone else will hop onto this thread and help bail me out...

Cash could help you I'm sure, but he's in Wake Forest IIRC.

my street wheels are 17x7 w/ 225/45-17 tires, they would fit just fine.

My 16's have corded r comps on them, so they probably won't work to get you past inspection.

You are welcome to swap them out if you really want to. Shoot me a PM if you need.

I have several sets in various sizes. I've got a pair of 17x7 with 215s that will pass inspection. They aint pretty, though. :D Let me know if I can help.

Cash
