Curious about the choice of framing for that building. When I was in the market for my shop building, I looked at several different types of steel building, one of which was very similar to yours. I decided against that type in favor of a more traditional steel building with heavy steel I-beam construction. It cost a good bit more $$$, but I was not convinced that the small square tube frame type would hold up nearly as well, especially under high wind conditions.
So VK, knowing that you likely did your homework on this, what do you think??
My neighbor has the exact same one, and it suffered no damage during the last hurrricane, but that is no guarantee of course. I could not afford one like yours so it's all risk cost vs. I suppose. My HOI covers it with no issue though.
I know what you mean.
When I was planning mine, I found a contractor, told him my budget and asked him how big the building could be with that much money. This guy came back with 30x40 but was originally ~$8k over my budget. I told him I didn't have any more money to spend than what I originally told him- so a few days later he came back with a slightly lower price, but still $5k over. I finally got it through to him that my budget was not flexible, and he agreed to do the work for the price I originally told him. I had saved money for ~15-20 years to build that building, so I wanted something that I thought would be there for a long long time.
