Im with most of you guys and dont get the hype over this car, the mcStrut suspension is a big disappointment.

What other sub 2800 lb sub 25k rwd cars are on the market today (new)? The mx5 is it. That is where they hype comes from. It's not that it is a performance god, it's that it's is the return of the cheap, relatively light 2+2 sports car.

I was out at red rock in Vegas this week for a work conference. Scion was doing an event so I got to see a few in person. Nice looking car, but overpriced. This is a 20k$ car. 25 is too much. The fanbois will buy it though.

While I would tend to agree with you, looking at pricing for a brand new NC Miata and they start at $25K as well these days, and this car does actually have a bit more power so I guess the pricing isn't that far out of line for the market.
