Thank you for the news Mitch and the update from Rodney. Like Matt, I would love to visit him when he is up for seeing visitors. I have a friend that works on that unit and she always tells me how great her unit is so I know he is in good hands.

My heart sank when Zach told me about this. He'll be in my thoughts and I would love to go visit him this week if he's up for it.

Thanks for everyone reaching out and posting all the info and status updates on Les.

Just goes to show you that sometimes things are out of your control entirely.

While Les is in the hospital he is going to need daily sponge baths.

We need our largest, smelliest, and hairiest club members to step up and give Les what he really needs for a full recovery... long loving sponge baths.

Get better soon Les!!!!!

Back when I was in the club leadership we had the following strict policy: If you come up with a good idea, you are the first person to perform said idea.

So.. Marcus thank you for volunteering, I've got you signed up for Les' first week of spongey cleanings. Don't forget to take a rubber ducky :D

Hope Les gets well soon. !!!!

From what I have been told, it went well but took much longer than they thought it would. Les will probably be in the hospital for recovery and rehab for 1-2 more weeks. He is moving limbs, so that is certainly good news.

^^^^this^^^^

Right now the bottom line is don't bug Les until we're told he's ready to take phone calls and visitors.

I'm willing to bring over meals for Les when he gets home. I know I wouldn't feel much like cooking after back surgery.

That sounds like volunteering to me.

My current information in regard to Les is he’s still in ICU for now and sedated, so no visitors yet please. Looking more like this weekend before he’s moved out of ICU and into a standard room before he’s ready to talk. Les’ family has been w/ him, so he’s in good hands right now. All he really needs now is time to heal.
