just curious to see what everyones got. i like old stuff. antiquey type things, so i figured coins were pretty neat.

ive got some late 1800's stuff. indian head from 1874, nickel from 188? (cant read the last number). handful of silver coins. 1928 $2 bill. other red stamped $2 bills. ive got a bunch of other V nickels and merc dimes and wheat pennies.

im always lookin' to buy!

I go thru phases of having collectable coins but then metal prices get so good, I liquidate. Almost a year ago I got rid of a ton of silver (almost at the peak!), lots of Walker's, Franklin's and Kennedy's, some Merc Dimes. Nothing two special. Before I got married I got sorta hoodwinked into buying a gold proof set that was a "can't miss", I broke even Its was pretty awesome just holding those heavy, shinny gold coins.

Once the bottom drops out of the market, I'll probably buy some again.

I've got a few jars of coins I mean to sort, a fairly complete 1910-1990 penny collection, some Roman coins that are little more than nubs of metal at this point in time, a few Mercury dimes and stuff like that.

My favorite coins are the steel pennies they made during WWII, because to me you can almost feel the history in your hands when you hold them.

I always like when I get bare stamps metal.. from the machine without any denomination on them.
