So who here are fan’s of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Holy cow, some serious sh!t went down last week and it only looks to get worse this week. W/ Shane and Dale out of the picture along w/ what happened to Shane and the horde that was coming towards the house, all hell is going to break loose for the final episode. Can’t wait to watch this one.

I watched AMC's "Hell on Wheels" from the beginning and have loved it, but haven't seen any of this series yet.

Yeah, thanks Rodney for the spoiler, I haven't watched Sunday's episode yet. I knew I shouldn't have read your post, my fault I guess and it was pretty obvious Shane was a goner anyway. But yes, to answer your question, I'm huge fan of the show, my very favorite on TV right now actually. Really intense.

Yup, its a great series, but the original comics are, well, more graphic and dramatic. I know what's supposed to happen up to last month's comic book and its still exciting to watch the TV show.

What's better is watching it Apple TV with no commercials!

Guess I should have added a Spoiler Alert caveat to the header, but yeah, should have seen it coming. I didn't say how though 8)

If you haven't watched this, then go to netflix and start watching. Great show, story line and visuals, especially for regular TV.

I have watched some streaming from Netflix. Good stuff, but I will get back to it after Mad Men and Boardwalk Empire. Too much Good TV, not enough time!

I usually don't give crap about what's on TV unless it's road racing - much less keep up with a drama TV show.

However, in this case I would be guilty. I learned something about myself over the winter - I luv me some zombie killin'!!! :)

The last show sets up SOOO many new scenarios for the upcoming season. The only issue now is I have to wait till October!!! Dang it!

My issue with shows like Walking Dead is that that rely upon what may be an unending story-line. I love it when shows have a multi-episode (or even season long) story arc, but I can't stand it when there is nothing but one long ongoing plot with zero light at the end of the tunnel. Walking Dead is based upon a comic series that also doesn't have an ending, and to keep the fans happy they seem to generally be tracking the unending comic series plot line.

So it's likely that as long as the ratings continue to be good they will try to go on forever. But what typically happens is that the show eventually has ratings troubles and either just stops with no ending, or they try to wrap it up in just a few episodes and it ends up being a mess. Lost is a good example of this. I was a big fan of Lost, but they milked it for more than it was worth and the ending was clearly jammed together due to ending it sooner than they had wanted. Because of that, while I really liked Walking Dead, I stopped watching it part way through the second season.

I wish they used the Latin American TV "Telenovela" model. Basically from the start they say "We are going to have a story arc that runs over X episodes and then the show will end". I would be onboard with something like Walking Dead if they said "This will be resolved in 4-5 years".

What do I think is good episodic TV these days?

I agree with Richard.

I was a big fan of Heroes... until season 2 started.

Hey, you can't blame them the comic is still going strong! That being said, the comic is better paced.
