Turns out that the hosted sessions still require you to own all the cars before racing in a multi-class race. Soo... I'm going to drop it back to just the MX5 for now unless we get a strong request for the Jetta.

Thanks Jason!

Cool, thanks Scott!

I'll be coming back from a meeting in Raleigh that night, so I might be a tad late but I will certainly jump on and do some laps with you guys.

I'll be there to provide some moving chicane, backmarker action.

Sorry for the basic question, but how the heck does one join a session? I can't make heads or tails on this interface.

Look for the title bar that says home, resources, series, events, hosted

Click hosted. Then Join a Race. Look for the THSCC link in the list.

See you then!

Thanks, that was a good excuse to try out a 3 monitor rig. What is a good time for VIR North in an MX-5!

3 monitors is way cool! As a point of reference I got consistent low 1:44s, so a good time is probably at or under 1:41...but that is a bit of a guess.

Thanks for hosting! I wish I could've driven more, I might've had a chance at beating Emmon's time. :-P

I'll be happy to host the next session. Any requests for car/track? Maybe a warmup session followed by a race next time? :-D I've been driving the Mustang series recently, boy is that car a handful. It likes being sideways and is quite fun (despite being a Mustang! :-P). Has anyone else tried/purchased it?

It was a blast! I'm glad there was a good turn out. We need to do that more often.

I really like the Mustang in iRacing. It is really a blast to drive since you have to hang it out to be fast it seems.

How about Road Atlanta with the Mustang. That always is a blast to drive..

Sounds great. I'll make a post and set this up next week when I'm back from Dixie. :-D

Those who haven't tried, the Mustang is a lot of fun and the D-Class series featuring the car is a good way to move up through the ranks. So go buy the car so we can drive it next week!

Alright, mostly an iPhone camera fail, but a couple of my guys fabbed up a race sim setup for me. Should be running in another day or two finally.

Seat slides and tilts. The steering telescopes and tilts, and the shifter can be moved forward and back. Have room to put an iPad mount between the wheel and the screen, too, to do a data dash. Will add that later, I think. Apparently that gets a little hairy right now.
