the dude from KS sounds bogus to me. who flies in from Kansas to buy a tiller? i sent him an e-mail saying i would prefer cash and the freight will be at least $700 so we shall see.

Yeah, my BS-meter is in the high range on this one- the message never mentions the name of the item you are selling, so they can just cut and paste a thousand times for any number of different items.

I might drink a beer or ten and then call the guy at the number Matt linked to and see what they say about it, just for fun.

But I'd be willing to bet it's Nkuma Bigschlonga emailing you from an internet cafe' in Lagos.

What do you mean?. The shipping company does not involve with transactions between buyer/seller but only pick up and deliver. Due to my present location, my choices are limited and not often available by the phone. I am an honorable man and you will receive your money cash in hand before this is picked up. However, it's easy and free to open a paypal account. Just go to there website www.paypal.com and sign up a personal account there. Paypal is the world leading payment master that protects both buyer/seller interest. You are on a secured transaction with paypal. Above all, it's like instant cash. As soon as you open an account, get back to me with the name and email that you linked with your paypal account and I will have your money sent asap.
And due to the nature of my job and having being a paypal customer for the past 18 months with no charge back, I feel more comfortable sending my funds via paypal due to there various security measures at ensuring safe and secured transaction between both buyer/seller. But, if you feel otherwise, I totally understand.

Ask him for his phone number, then tell him that you're not very mechanically inclined so you'll have to pay a tiller mechanic to stabilize the flux capacitor so it doesn't get damaged in transit. $50 extra should cover it.

If he's a scammer, he'll simply cut + paste what you typed and say it's fine, he'll gladly pay it.
