Well it was a very good 2011 Season.
• Learned a lot about the car and myself.
• Met a great bunch of people.
• Even won a few times.
• I took the 2011 SE Championship...not too shabby for the first season in the car.
• The car was in Feb 2012's Grassroot Motorsport. Nice little article about the new FFRC Spec for 2012 and the legacy class of FFR2.
• Got to film with Top Gear UK, and meet the crew and hosts.
If you want to see the Race Reports, more videos, and lots of pictures:
http://www.mh-motorsports.com/race.shtmlSo now on to 2012. After much thought and debate we have decided that for 2012 we will be in the new 2012 Factory Five Challenge series and not FFR2 (legacy Factory Five Challenge series).
What the new series will bring for 2012:
• 110+ more wheel horse power
• Revised rear gear ratios
• Larger and better balance brakes
• Revised front suspension
• Updated rear suspension
• Revised front spindle and hub assemblies
• Wider tack
• ~75 lbs weight reduction.
The new FFRC series should see significant reduction in times and will once again be one of the faster classes in the NASA racing series. Testing has shown that the new cars are over 5 seconds a lap faster on many tracks.
Look for build updates and pictures.
