This reminds me of the days when a ten-year-old Pete Guthrie terrorized the paddock at Rocky Mt with his R/C cars :)

you ever see the rc tractor pulls. people build custom rc frames for a tractor.. then put three of four weedwhacker motors on it. run it through a single tranny, to the rear tires.. and sled pull with it, full steering and everything. anything from rc wankels to weedwhacker motors. great stuff. lots of two stroke smoke, because they are tuned so high.

also.. i found rodney wrights new car..

its a old galaxie 500. the 427 side oiler and everything.

He'll have to fight me for it. That is too cool.

I took a look at the dealership's inventory. Thank heaven these cars are already sold:

the 428 has 390 hp. not 500 like the 427. however.. the torque is the same. real monster in that respect. the torino looks like the turner and hooch car. even though it was a amc

Perhaps we can spend 30 or 35 pages in this thread discussing the merits of the FE (Ford-Edsel) series motors :) There were quite a few variants of this mid-sized V8, sold in the US from 1958 to 1976 in multiple displacements: 332, 352, 360, 361, 390, 406, 410, 427, and 428.

Warning to German and Japanese car fans - you might find this boring. If so, please feel free to return to your musings on the differences (if any) between BMW F10 and Nissan F10 automobiles.
