7000 pound weight rating means anything less than 8000 is ok, right?

The guys at the gypsum supply place looked at me like I had 3 heads when I said I wanted 90 sheets of 4' x 12' gypsum board put on my trailer. Actually, other than the radial trailer tires looking like they were begging for mercy, it wasn't that bad of a tow, albeit intentionally slow.

I'd guess it is for his garage mahal. What an appropriate way to bring it home if it is for the garage.

Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner.

And no way I would hang this, especially with 12.5' ceilings. Crew is working on it now... money WELL spent.

About 25 years ago my wife and I sheet rocked the 22 by 22 room with 10 foot ceiling above our garage AND the garage. Rented a sheet rock "lift" but didn't know enough to rent a sheet rock screw driver. Wore out one variable speed drill (corded type in those days). Used saw horses and a 2 by 10 plus step ladders. NOT fun . . . but still looks good. We used 8 foot panels and my wife forced the delivery guys to CARRY the panels up the tight with turns stair case since the window was too small.

Did everything else ourselves except for spraying the ceilings and laying the carpet.

Carried the lift home in the 1984 200SX

That was a loooooong time ago :(

If I waited for me to do the work, I'd never have this thing finished (though the tight@ss in me put up a big fight)

I did do all the electrical, some light framing and rebuilt the staircase, paint, etc... but there's a few things I've learned are "cheaper" to hire out, and I'm pretty sure that sheetrock is one of them!

I'm sooooooooo looking forward to some quality time in the garage next week!

Believe me we really wanted to hire someone. However, in 1986/87 or so "the someones" were really busy and/or very proud of their work. They all spoke NC southern then too, not "south of the border southern" :(

Dustin I'm a bit late to this thread but I do have a dry wall lift and screw gun if you'd like to borrow either/ both.
