It's actually been a couple of years since I used iRacing, but if I sign up again, I want to do something about the brake pedal. Do more expensive pedal setups have a load cell brake pedal setup? If not that, then a stiff rubber bumper of some sort could provide non-linearity I suppose.

Just buy this for the Logitech setup:

Supposedly very good, and less than a hundred bucks.

this is precisely why i'm going to get the fanatec clubsport pedals, which use a load cell for the brake. $200 and they're mechanical artwork.

Oh, Jason, I got confirmation on Thurs or fri of last week that 46 pounds of stuff was in the hands of UPS on its way to me from the US Fanatec distributor. So stuff is currently available.

The HDMI output is vastly superior to VGA, which will be especially noticeable sitting close to a 55" TV!

Okay, be sure to 'friend' each other on iRacing so we can see when others are online. I'd love to race against some THSCCers online!

Also, if you're signing up for iRacing for the first time, you can enter a referral email and they receive $10 credit to buy cars/tracks in the game. In case you don't have anyone to use as a referral, you can use mine zach@xak.us. :P

In multi heat races, like Mazda Cup, there may be four races at the same time, so no guarantee on being in the same race, or is there? I tried to race with you, Zach, but you were in a different race despite being racerbuddy/friends.

I am usually on between 10-11pm FWIW.

Donnie... For a temporary fix, if you've got a Windows disk somewhere... just use Bootcamp to run iRacing (assuming your Mac is a new-ish Intel machine.)

We need to set up a THSCC league.

Bummer. You'd think it would at least try and pair up friends in the same races. :whoknows:

There may be a way to do it, but I haven't looked into it that much. I will also check out hosting races...maybe Stacy can chime in with what he knows?

Yeah, that was my big problem. Without the G's pulling at you through a turn there's nothing to give you feedback to use to optimize your speed. Well, there is when the car starts to slide off of the track.
