IMO, unless the hood latch is broken there no way the hood struts would matter. I think the air entering the grill causes the hood to flutter and also causes the lift of the front end at high speed.

Rodney, I don't think the springs are shared with the GT, but if they are I still have my stock springs. And shocks, but you probably don't want those.

Mike, I think the issue is the amount of air that gets under the hood through the grill. The 2009+ models have a lot less hood overhang in the front, which might've been done to address the hood flutter.

VK, for your next track event, you could try closing off a small portion of the grill, just watch your coolant temps.

Springs are different. The Bullitt sits 6mm lower than the GT . . . but not as low as the Shelby GT.

The spring difference MAY only be the rears.

Sorry, that's what I had read also. The rears are different, the fronts are the same. Should never trust my memory. :)

Just clarifying to help Rodney in his search for stock springs.

We will get this thread to 30 pages (at least).

In regard to the springs, agreed, these are specific to the bullitt, so I hope to be buying a set shortly. Talked w/ the owner last night and he's a motivated seller. He just picked up a '11 subie STI and wants this mustang gone by the end of the month. I really can't believe the price I'm getting this for, but I'll take it. Have a date set for next Wednesday to go up to VA and buy the car. Freaking carmax is really screwing things up right now. I could have left today to buy it, but I'm in wait mode until the previous loan is taken care of. Frustrating....

Go to Carmax and find the manager. Don't leave his side until the problem is gone.

For real. I'd have given them 24 hours before I made an apperance in the show room and started getting loud. I hope they are paying you interest on the loan you gave them. Sounds like you need to talk to Monica Laliberte.

If they are going to keep your money, you should be driving around in their car.

Assuming you are financing the Bullitt, can you get any "help" from the new loan company? I was amazed how State Farm Bank basically "stole" a brand new loan from Capital One within a week or so of signing the papers for the Capital One loan. State Farm contacted Capital One and is taking care of everything. Cost to us was a $15 title transfer fee to move the lien holder to SF. Lower interest and other benefits will pay for the $15.

The official statement that was given in writing on the return paper was carmax had up to 10 business days to return the funds. That 10 days is up today. Going to call carmax corporate today and ask for yet another update.

called carmax. Loan payoff check is being over-nighted to SECU. My old loan should clear on Monday and I get a new loan on Monday and off the VA on Tuesday. Also sent a deposit to the owner to hold the car so it won't get sold out from underneath me.

Man, what an ordeal, but hopefully all will end on a positive note. Can't wait to pick up the bullitt!
