I can't believe I'm suggesting this but -- have you considered a Corvette? There is an executive precedent in our club.

These numbers are from Edmunds:

2007 Mustang:
Front head room: 38.6 in.
Front leg room: 42.7 in.
Front shoulder room: 55.4 in.

2009 JCW Mini
Front head room: 38.8 in.
Front leg room: 41.4 in.
Front shoulder room: 50.3 in.

2005 Corvette C5:
Front head room: 37.8 in.
Front hip room: 53.6 in.
Front leg room: 43.0 in.
Front shoulder room: 55.2 in.

2006 Corvette C6:
Front head room: 37.7 in.
Front hip room: 53.6 in.
Front leg room: 43.1 in.
Front shoulder room: 55.2 in

Rodney is way, way too sophisticated to DD some Kentucky Plastic Fantastic. personally, i have always been amazed by the headroom available in a 911. fish bowl IMO.

Yep, can't a thing wrong buying a 10 year old Maserati with five previous owners and prior accident damage from a used car dealer in Fuquay-Varina.

an '08. Good price and good mileage, only 41k. Talking w/ the owner. He's made some suspension mods, but if he has the original springs/shocks, I think I'm heading up to VA next week to buy it once this damn carmax loan stuff clears.

I guess I should also state I'm not buying Nelson's mini, just not what I'm looking for.

Great choice! I hope this one works out.

In the interim, start looking for take off original springs and shocks in case he doesn't have them.

Then we can use the remaining 7 or 8 pages needed to reach 30 for discussing the new ride. :D

Awesome! Come play in FS! I plan to make a concerted effort to attend more than 3 events next year (and get some decent tires).

What kind of suspension mods does it have? I've got a factory panhard rod if you need that.

He says he's the original owner, which is good, and has only added Vogtland lowering springs and koni sports. I dig that setup, but can't use it in Fstock. May have to keep those for STX down the road. He said nothing about the panhard rod. I've talked to the bank and have a way to buy the car out of state, so at least that's out of the way.

Carmax is dragging their feet, so waiting on that to clear....

Rodney, Let me know if you need a place to stay in VA or if you want to have a drink and show me your new ride. I'm in Midlothian (southwest side of Richmond). Goodluck with the bullitt.
