So I'm cleaning up the garage before starting the next project (Mazda engine replacement) and I'm having fun discovering all sorts of stuff that I forgot I had:

Dwell meter - is there even a use for one of these anymore? (I might be dating myself)
Timing light - nice one with inductive pickup
Spare parts for several cars I no longer own
Digital tire pyrometer - good find!
At least 4 sets of V8 headers (Chevy, Pontiac, Ford)
7gal portable air tank - does anyone use these for Auto-X anymore?
Set of adjustable Konis for the Firebird - NIB
Several specialty tools that I bought and now forgot what they are for

I guess this chore was way over due - I didn't realize I was such a packrat. :)

I'll be sorting thru it and posting some for sale and some for free. Gotta make room for future "stuff"!

I've been doing the same thing and most of the stuff I'm finding are not as useful. ie: 2 Miata airboxes w/K&Ns one with a busted MAF on it; various bolts and stuff from a Ford truck, Miata Rollbar, and about 30Qts of various flavors of oil; 4 oil filters 3 for stuff I don't own, the other for something that won't have the oil changed again, and 12 Qts of ATF

Hey Cash, there is probably a dusty, old, worthless car lift in the garage, too. I will be happy to transport it to a new home...no charge. :D

I use my dwell meter once a year or so to check the dwell on my FF1600 with points ignition. I could per the rules change to an electronic substitute for the points but they sometimes "burn out" with no notice.

Ditto for the timing light with inductive pickup to check timing.

Some race cars use OLD technology.

I think the last time I used mine was on my 1964 Ford 2000 tractor - which I sold some time ago.
I had points in my Firebird - they were like a built-in rev-limiter - which was handy at times. :)
