OK,
Despite knowing that there are much better driving cars, much more reliable, and definitely more efficient cars I still find myself wanting one of these.

I think it has to do with me growing up with this next door and me lusting after it as a young tweeny.

I'm with you, I think the new Challenger looks fantastic.

The new camaro? Not so much.

X2. I think the Challenger even looks better than the Mustang. The Mustang would be the only one of the three I'd actually own though.

my friend had a 74 challenger and I loved that car. If it were in the cards i would def drive the new Challenger over the new Camaro

There are a few in the parking lot at work. Every time I walk by one, I'm struck by how needlessly massive it is. I know that people like us complain a lot these days about the size and weight of new cars, but really, it looks out of place parked next to something like a Camry. Or a box truck.

Unfortunately, I have the same thought when I see most of the new Hondas as well. The newest Civic looks to be as big as the late 90's Accord and the new Accord looks like a boat. Booooo.

I'm amazed at the size of the Civic these days (although the 2012 Si sedan looks like a heck of a car for $22k). Then again, just about every car maker has done the size creep thing to an extreme -- likely a mark of the end of an era about now (lest we're going to see 4000lb "Civics" with 115in wheelbases one day).

When someone says "Civic", my mind still brings up an image of a "real" Civic...you know, the first one. Part of being old I guess.

This thing:

My wife's Accord was getting some body work done and she got a Dodge Charger as a rental. While the Charger looks bigger than the Accord from the outside, the Accord was a lot roomier on the inside. I guess thin doors and seats :)

There is a guy on SuperHonda who put a B16 in a 1st gen Civic :).

last year my student at summit point shenandoah had a challenger, stock 425hp powertrain (auto) but coilover suspension. and he insisted that i drive it. three times :)

it was kind of like a video game - crazy power, numb brakes, steering felt the same regardless of speed, angle, or g-force.

last weekend one of my buds showed up at cmp with a brand new boss 302. i actually sat in it sans key making "vroom vroom" noises, cranking the steering wheel side to side and snapping off imaginary heel-toe downshifts (the shifter felt GREAT, the gates were almost too narrow).

Yeah...no. Not that....ever, but I do lust after Jeff Underwood's Locost. I could see wedging a B18C5 in there or even finding a way to put a H or K series in it, but I wouldn't pollute it with something non-Honda. That's not me. My new garage has to come before any of that though, hence why I don't look. I have a sickness for first gen Preludes too.

That's within about 20 miles of where I was born. I might have the cash for that if it wasn't for LeMons, but I don't regret a single dime I've spent on our Prelude. LeMon's has been an awesome experience both personally and as part of our team.

Honda, please get back to building some exciting cars.
