I had mentioned this at one of the past meetings, but what is everyone's thought of a golf tournament? Maybe over at Knight's Play? I know I suck at golf, but it's always fun to get out and swing at a few. I believe we nominated Art to head this up. Maybe cap at 3-4 four person teams.

Whadousay? Any interest?

Beer pong sounds good as does a cornhole (or bag-o depending on where you're from I guess) tourney. That's easy to manage with a dry erase board, a cold sixer, and a little junk talkin'.

I don't think Jeremy is out of the woods yet. He still has a VW in his avatar.

Don't worry, neither can I John. I totally still lust over a Laguna E46 with 18" Hoo$iers and a set of SSR Comps for B-Stock just to see how badly I'd get my butt kicked by the S2000s. I miss mine but I don't miss that feeling of what's going to need service/replacement soon. You gotta pay to play I guess. For the record, S54 rasp at wot > 2.0 liter Vtec 8)

I may be joining you in the german car bashing considering not only does the Golf have a code, but the new to me 330 does as well! It has a hyper sensitive gas cap that keep tripping the CEL. I did get the codes read at AZ read today and I at least have a good clue on what to look for now. Stay tuned.

Getting back to this whole golf thing or corn hole, I'm up for either.

Rodney - I had the 330 gas cap light issue also, and replacing the cap didn't help - it turned out the fix was addressed with a download of the current DME software. Seriously.

BTW, thanks to recommendations from several THSCC members, I found MPowered Auto (now called Import MotorWorks) in Cary to be a great source in the Triangle area for BMW service. They charged me less than 1/3 the dealership cost for the DME download (the dealerships refused to download the latest software until they ran a standard diagnotics test, which was extremely expensive), and MPowered also spotted and pointed out an impending issue that I was able to easily fix myself before it became a problem.

Ok Vincent, let loose on this :). That's ridiculous Keith. If there is updated firmware for ECU, the dealership should be willing to do it regardless of who,what,where,when,why.....particularly if it is to fix their f-ups :). Granted, you said it costs money even for the reflash at the dealer, which is absurd in my mind.
