Final info on awnings:

Either a 10 or 12 foot wide will fit, but the 10 would be better as it would go on the second 24 inch centers rather than one corner and a 24 center of the trailer. Both are the same price, a 14 foot would cost more. $397.00 for vinyl and much more for acrylic. They do not recommend any canvas, as they mildew when rolled up wet. Lots of colors, blue, grey, brown, black, green etc.. Do we have a theme color? Shipping to them or us is $90.00. The trailer mount would be $383.00 for the side mount hardware lower than 76 inches. We are 74 inches. Manual not electric. Installation would be at the most $250.00

$397.00 + $90.00 + $383.00 + $250.00 = $1120.00 + tax (about) $84.00 or $1204.00 This is more expensive than I had thought it would be, but verified at two other locations.

BTW I located an 11 horse M/G set that was used for remote FAA component testing. I'll drag it to the "bus day" to see if we have any use for it. Any idea when that may be?

Sorry I missed the meeting, I'm in a Town of Cary class on Wednesday evenings and a couple of Saturdays for the next two months. Quite interesting, but I miss the beer.

Peace,
Don

The color should be a light color to reflect heat IMO, but $1200 is some darn expensive shade.

I'm assuming we can save the installation costs by doing it ourselves.

Oh, I do hate being the bearer of bad news, but in regard to the awning, that's dead. Don, based on the figures you sent us via email, we discussed this at the meeting and the vote was NOT to spend money on the awning based on your $1200 figure. We decided it would be more prudent to spend the money on a new wireless display considering the age and condition of our current display. We all appreciate your work in finding costs, but believe this money is better spend on the display.

Karl has offered us a 10x20 canopy, so we still need to follow up and figure out all of the details in regard to making this option work.

As to the free generator, sure, we'll take that. I'm sure we can put it to good use.

Why do boat bimini tops not mildew? Mine gets rolled up wet, stays rolled up all winter and comes out looking fine in the spring?

Any chance they are just pushing the hard tops because they are more lucrative?
