the Z06 and ZR1 use Balsa wood in the floor panels and as Chassis plate separaters.

As long as I can't see it, no problem.

FYI, we used end-grain balsa for "false bottoms" in fiberglass tanks where I used to work. The stuff is incredibly strong and expensive.
