Major congrats to Grim Reaper. They ran a smart, well-driven race and it paid off. Magnum PU started strong, but the clutch and power steering issues really took their toll on the standings. We still had a great time and enjoyed the PBIR experience.

I had never driven at PBIR before, and it is truly a track for the patient. I could really have used some instruction from a local. The long, long sweepers really tested you. I never really found the right combination to make those turns well. In my last stint, my speed through those elements was simply not up to spec compared to the fast guys.

PBIR is a bit of a spartan setup - those who go to VIR regularly are spoiled. PBIR is a very nice track - very smooth with a nice surface. I'd like to come back at some point.

Good picture of Magnum and the Mustang. Grim Reaper had our best finish to date. These 24 hour races are really grueling on the car and body. Had a great time hanging with all the Tarheel gang.

LeMons black flag penalty from CMP race that they wear as a badge of honor - they even gave it some VK-approved LED bling 8)

That's was from a previous penalty at the CMP race. Some teams leave theirs in place sort of like a battle scar. Of course if we had one I'd cut it in half because we are sort of 'half-cocked' anyway.

We got that a while back at CMP for driving like a "cock". Run into one guy and you get labeled for life. We did make some improvements to the rooster... cut it off and turned it so it was more aerodynamic, painted it bright colors so it would be easier to spot the car in a crowd and added some "bling" from the VK approved LED collection. At PBIR, you could only see the rooster and blue light over the wall. What we lack in handling and horsepower, we make up with extra crap glued on the car.

That is funny!

IMO Jay can be a bit of an @$$, but the two judges are cool guys.
