The lower A-arms look alright on initial inspection. I don't have the time to look at the uppers today (maybe tomorrow), but it is possible that it could be bent. I think that the alignment bolts probably need to be replaced, though.

The stock eccentrics are only good for a couple degrees of toe out...almost unnoticeable to the naked eye.....not that much. Even compounding tweaked eccentrics with sloppy, worn out bushings is likely not to cause that much toe out.

Oddly the side that Andrew took a picture of isn't the side that got hit. Did the car get pushed into the curb?

He'll be over my house Saturday using my garage if you want to swing by.

Will do. I need to borrow the spring compressors again :).

Yesterday progress happened. This is what progress looks like: http://i.imgur.com/NHvMa.jpg

Also, according to Short my eccentrics are all sorts of messed up.

Did you get the exterior and interior door latches/locks figured out?

Yeah. It was actually pretty straight forward.

Got an alignment today and the guy could only get -.7 out of the rear driver's side. Looks like I do have a tweaked subframe. Right now the car drives straight, but I need to do some math and see how much camber I can gain by just dropping it an inch.

Was this with new eccentrics?

Was he able to get the toe in check in the rear?

The toe is 1mm in per side, that was no issue. The issue is that the LCA is maxed out. He pulled out the eccentric on the LCA and it was straight, so that went back in. The bottom bolt on the hub was also pulled (and cut a bit) and that was bent, but it just affected the toe, the camber is maxed out still at -.75.

I looked at Mazdaspeed for a NEW~~~ CROSSMEMBER, REAR and it was 526 and change. Called up the wrecker down in Apex... $40.

I'm going to buy the subframe off of him so I can get all of the energy bushings in there with no problem, so that when I drop the current subframe it'll be: drop it, replace the diff bushing, bolt everything back together. I'm thinking about replacing the control arms on that side just to be on the cautious side.

Shoot - I have a complete rear subframe I'll sell you cheap - all control arms, hubs, etc. I'll get a pic if you're interested.

Are the hubs universal between the 1.6 and 1.8?

Definitely interested. (you have to compete with Jason Fraley's prices, though haha)

Not sure about the hub question - I'll get a pic if the ice has melted.

The hubs are the same, the dust shield is smaller, and the subframe itself doesn't have additional bracing that the 94-97s do.
