You can adjust the timing using the Cobb AP. I've never done it with the STi, just remember seeing that as one of the options in the menu.

I was referring to the first dyno chart in the thread, where there's about 20 more lb/ft of torque, about 1000 rpm sooner.

Open source tuning would be the way to go, if you want to play with it.

What's "open source tuning" ?

Think open source software, and you've pretty much got it. It's developed and supported by the user community for free. Caveat emptor, of course.

So you're slumming it in Subarus after being into BMWs? What's up with that? :-)

He took the opposite approach to you right? :) You are slumming in the Bimmers now.

So I just replaced the control arm bushings on my WRX with the Group N bushings yesterday. I would've already upgraded these, but I kept thinking I might sell the car, so why bother? But then the STi dun blowed up, so I guess I'm keeping the WRX for a while. I started feeling some sloppiness in the steering recently, but I've already upgraded the steering rack bushings, so I figured I'd go ahead and replace these. Sloppiness is gone, steering feels really tight now. The bushings were not split like the one on your OBS, but were wearing out inside, I guess.
