ok... after watching the last episode, I gotta admit: there's no hope for Rutledge.

Ideally, he would be a complete tool and the other two would simply make fun of him all the time. But in this case, they are simply annoyed and creeped out by him. As probably are most viewers

I agree 100%. I really did think he was going to lick the truck!

He is that guy, that is in the "acquaintance" category, that when you are in public around him he causes you to look away hoping nobody thinks you know him.

Watching that show is like watching my kids play sports when they were little. So much potential but they just don't have any idea what to do. It is painful for me to watch. While Rutledge is the complete craftsman section at Sears, I assume they have writers to blame. "I want to lick it was painful" A simple do they take testicles on trade would have worked there (well you would have to have them so maybe not)

Actually I am afraid they are just letting Rutledge be Rutledge. I doubt the "lick" part was scripted. Or at least I hope it wasn't.

I think Foust is the best of the three, Ferrara is growing on me, but I will never be a Rutledge fan even if they portray him as the "village idiot" and make it a running gag. I hope he is replaced in season two.

What I am curious at this point is about their individual "automobile street cred". Foust clearly has it. As mentioned above, Rutledge doesn't exist in my world. I am more curious about Ferrara. Is he an enthusiast at all? I know it's just TV, but I would hope that the host are enthusiasts at some level.

Overall, the show is growing on me. It will always stand in the shadow of the original, but I am OK with that as long as they gel more as it goes. I get a kick out of how when we watch it the kids say "Where are the other guys? I like them better".

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Look at their "bios" on the website. They may be made up but some of it is true. Didn't see the last episode, the "licking" thing worries me a bit :?

ok here is a positive. I just watched the most recent Chasing Classic Cars and it was devoted completely to Concours de Lemons. Even had our buddy Jay on it. My only complaint is they didn't mention the the race but Wayne Carini did sport a 24 hours lemons sticker on his entry so maybe we will see something in the future.

Say what you will about Tanner Foust, but I doubt you'll see Rutledge 'The Tool' Wood doing this.

World Record Jump

I know, I know, Kevin Allen could do it too with enough money and practice. :P

I bet the compression he felt at the bottom of the start ramp was interesting.

Nothing like the compression of the landing!
