Anyone using either for broad band wireless internet service? Am interested in coverage area and overall impressions. Virgin Mobile has unlimited plan for $40 which is much less then my existing Verizon plan at $60.
Thanks

Actually a question that I may know a little something about. I use the Sprint USB device here at work since I can't get Verizon DSL and satellite access truly sucks. I've used it for a couple of years now and I've been more or less satisfied. It does disconnect sometimes but that hasn't been a big issue so far. One of my employees who has an apartment here also used it until recently. We both got Sprint at the same time, and at the time the package was *unlimited*. He's a big on line gamer (World of Warcraft, etc) and recently Sprint started cutting him off mid month. What happened is that apparently the *unlimited* plan is now only 5GB per month if you're on a 3G network, and unlimited only if you're in a 4G area. You have to check their map to know which area you're in. He did the research, fould that Virgin uses the same towers as Sprint, went with Virgin Mobile Unlimited and has been very pleased. He bought the USB device which was about $87 including shipping. He pays $40 per month-pay as you go. Sprint required a 2 year contract, which was irrelevant since we're only in a 3G area.
I doubt that I use 5GB a month here at work, which is why I haven't had a problem. If the problems start, I'm off to Virgin Mobile too.
Hope this helps.
Gwen
PS-If you have issues getting cell service in your home, obviously this will be problematic.
