They were even throwing around hypotheticals like, 'should college athletes be paid...'.

Great weekend for sports though (that counts mountain bike racing too)!! Go State!

I wish I could have saved a few thousand in tuition & books.

A college education in how to play professional football/basketball, etc. and make a ton of money compared to what just about any other college education can buy you with a normal 4 year degree.

Given the poor grades in whimpy majors that most college football/basketball stars end up with, they might as well save the pretense of an education in anything other than the sport. It might be cheaper to just "hire" them . . . kind of like farm teams in baseball.
