I certainly had a good time. Horse shoes, Frisbee, excellent food and a car show.
Pete and I got to "show off" the DirtMaster 2000 (Nissan SE-R) that was his first car, first track car, and 3rd rally-x car. I believe that we won the Patina and Outstanding Shine (POS) award almost solely on the merits of the distinct musty aroma courtesy of a year's storage with a leaky door seal. Luckily for the judges, we Lysol'ed the car to remove the active mold and alergens. The 30+ pounds of dirt inside the car probably didn't hurt our chances either.
One of the down sides of rally-x with a car with inadequate exhaust systems is the need to run with the windows down (i.e.: dusty).
Thanks for all those who helped put this together and for all the fine and friendly folks who made the outing a fun event.
It was fun to stand close enough to the LeMons car to taste the lemon aid. Fortunately the electric cool aid did not kick in and lure me into the Chump Car/LeMons madness....yet.

P.S.: I think I need to teach a few folks how to finish a beer. As one of the official garbage removers, I discovered that some folks refuse to drain a bottle. I got about 1/2 quart of beer on me and the back of the truck. Thank goodness I wasn't stopped for a "routine vehicle check". If I'm around, never, never throw away a perfectly good beer (i.e. any beer that isn't finished.

); I can think of a proper way to dispose of beer.
