so, I just got back from the car show. It's underwhelming to say the least. Maybe 50 cars in the civic center and a few vendors. I think they are suffering from a "first show" standpoint. I got lucky and got in free, which is good, 'cuz I'd been upset if I had to pay for that.
As for Fayetteville st cars, that's a joke. I'm hoping more cars show up tomorrow. Right now there is only a handful of cars near the square, 10 at most. The entire street is blocked off w/ nothing but empty spaces. Pretty disapointing to see considering the press coverage.
Bottom line, I wouldn't waste my time tonight. Tomorrow should be better from a car standpoint.
I work in the BB&T building right next to the Civic Center, so I went down with my son at noon on Friday. I think the first 500 got in free. I was also underwhelmed and would not have been happy to pay $10. I am not a huge fan of older american cars, but can appreciate them. However, I was quickly worn out by looking at just a number of Chevelles and Camaros. I think what the show lacked was diversity.
There were very few cars out on Fayetteville on Friday, but that must have changed over the weekend as a photo on their website shows many more cars.
