so does anyone care...i'm finding it hard to find anyone at work to talk soccer with and i'm really getting excited about this year's world cup. the US stands a good chance to survive the group stages and if they get lucky may even make the quarter finals.

what say you o'car-enthusiast crowd?

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

Yeah, I'm a fan. My son and I run around our family room with our shirts over our faces when Team USA scores. It's a sickness, I get it. Fired up that ESPN et al will be showing all matches--the DVR is going to get a workout!

Would be a great start if USA can draw or win against England and make it out of pool play.

it would be nice, but noooo way will it happen. i'm a brit at heart (got my US citizenship about 10 yrs ago) so i really can't lose that game.

i really do want to the US to take the 2nd spot and play germany in the 2nd round. i think that's about our best chance of getting to the quarters.

So, where do you guys want to meet to watch the game? I'm sure we could find somewhere to put the game on the big screen.

If soccer didn't exist, my life wouldn't change a bit. :D That said, I like sports that others don't, so I have no issue with it... well, except I never run the risk of getting caught in a stampede. :? - AB

How about the backyard bistro next to the RBC center? They have the jumbo tv's. I called and they said they will definitely have the game on.

I only like college basketball, formula one and snooker/billiards :). I guess I have the obvious and the esoteric sport tastes :). But I will say I'd watch soccer over football (american) any day of the week.
