anyone heading up to VIR this weekend? I've just purchased my Saturday ticket, and I can't freaking wait to go! If anyone would like a ride (I can take 2 more) or wants to meet and drive up, let me know. Looks like the action starts at 8am, so I'm planning on heading up early.

Let me know. PM me for a discount code.

I will be there about 11am on friday, setting up camp near the Patriot course (look for big dining fly and the Purple Bimmer) and am planning on staying thru noon Sunday. I can't wait! Gotta cheer for my man AJ Nealey in TDI cup, Pruett/Rojas and the Turner Motorsports cars! Yes I am a BMW nut thru and thru

I can't wait either! 8)

We've been around, I almost hate to admit it but Rushhour karting sort of replaced autox for the both of us. As it turns out, I have to see a track more than 6 laps before it starts to make sense. Not something to brag about but it seems to be the truth.

Speaking of doing laps I'm hoping to get in some track schools with ya'll this year. Probably CMP in the fall since VIR full got snowed out

I'm going to tomorrow, maybe Sunday. Mike Dishman, Karl Kauffman and Bill Gratton are joining me tomorrow. Will be like old times, mostly because we're all older.

Rodney, the HCMC is going to have corral and one of their guys invited me to park my car there. See if you can schmooze your way in too.

if you didn't make VIR this weekend, you missed a great time. Stayed up there all day on Saturday and watched most of the races, didn't see the TDI race, stuck in the pits looking at all of the toys. I was able to sneak out on track for a parade lap w/ the mustang boys. That was fun, but at 45, didn't get a real sense for the race line.

The rain held off and weather was very nice for the entire day. I took a boat load of pics and actually got pics of a few close calls on turns 4-5. Sorting through them now. As soon as I find an on line site to post them on, I'll send out a link.

I had a blast! Even was down in the paddock second row to see the podium. Max Angelelli threw his pirelli hat out (finished 3rd in DP race) after the champagne shower in the crowd and I caught it, that was cool!
