I need 2 windows in my house replaced. One is a large palladium window over my front door and another is 2 quarter rounds in the bathroom. Both are wood framed and rotting out.

I need advice on contractors that you've dealt with that offered a good price, work ethic and speak english. You're welcome to PM with any info you may have. I'd like to get these done in the next few months.

Billy Rogers
919-669-7778

He replaced all the windows in my house. One 5x8 custom window completely replaced, others were just sashes and jambs/tracks.
I also had him redo all the siding on the house as well.

Great work
Reasonably priced
Speaks Fuquay-Varina/Holly Springs English

No money up front.

Does he do exterior painting? As in whole house painting?

Billy Rogers is a GC, so he has a painter with a crew that he calls on.

Billy personally did the sash replacements in my house. He and his general carpenters did the big window.

You could argue there is some markup in that method, but I only had to deal with one person when it came to issues. Of course I talked directly to the painter when it came to colors etc.

If you are just looking for a painter...

Another good 'ole boy; been painting for 20 years or more.
He's a good painter and knows his stuff; just a little rough around the edges.

I had all the window in my house replaced last December here in Greenville. Five Mexicans showed up and only two were fluent in
English.

They arrived 30 minutes early and worked like machines the whole day with only a 45 minute lunch break. The job was perfect, I mean perfect down to perfect caulking.

There was no mess inside or out. They separated all the aluminum for recycling from the wood and glass which they took to the dump. I couldn't find one piece of wood or aluminum and there was no scraps anywhere.

My utility bill for last month was $100.00 less and it was a colder than normal month.

Don't discount legal, hardworking Mexicans. These guys were pros.

I'm not unwilling to deal with those who hail from SOB, but we do need to be able to speak!

Billy and Richie's crew were mostly Hispanic as well.
I agree with Walter. All had great work ethic and performed quality work.

Sorry to stink up your thread Rodney.

Thanks guys, just looking for a house painter (I'd call Gary, but I think he doesn't like doing whole houses). Hopefully they don't find too much rotten stuff.

As a point of reference, I paid $250 a window installed for sash and jamb replacements. High quality, vinyl window low e coating, muttons inside.
