I've decided that the best way to solve my water neck to radiator issues is to make a thin (1/4") adapter plate between the intake and the water neck. This will allow me to clock the water neck 15 degrees or so, so it lines up with the radiator better.

Anyhow, my options are 1/4" thick aluminum plate, but I don't know where to get it.

OR

1/4" thick plate steel (already have a piece from Lowes), however, 1/4" steel is thicker than my patientce to cut it with a hacksaw, so I need a better method (plasma). I'd gladly pay a shop for their time. The closer to RTP, the better (I suspect R & J can do it just fine, however, they don't qualify as close to RTP unless I'm really desparate).

Even a *real* chop saw would work (not my 7" Harbor Freight one).

Thanks for the help!

Scott

When I need small bits of aluminum or steel, or specialty fasteners, I go to www.mcmaster.com

They have everything.

You should be able to get a 1/4" piece of 6061 alumium pretty cheap.

If you have a drawing of what you need, I can cut it out for you, or could send you a piece of aluminum if you know the size.
