My day for asking questions...

I'm about to put Bearing Buddies on the trailer and am wondering about servicing the bearings in general. The Bearing Buddy literature says to do it ever 5 years when using Bearing Buddies...

My trailer is 1 year old (11 months actually) and has about 3000 miles on it. Should I even bother checking the bearings now, or just pop on the bearing buddies and pack them with grease, then check in 4 more years...

By the way, Bearing Buddies are on sale at Northern Tool for $10 per pair (a few $$$ off).

Scott,

Check and clean and regrease them before installing the bearing buddies. See the installation instructions:

Good price. I actually bought a spare pair. Somehow, one came off one time. Dunno how. I've had mine for, oh, four or five years. I'll admit I hadn't checked the bearings. But I carry two spare complete hubs with me in the van.
