2002 Porsche 911 (996) Carrera Coupe, Guards red on tan leather - $24500

2002 Porsche 911 Carrera, 996 chassis, 81k miles, 6-speed manual transmission. Guards Red on Savanna Beige leather. Unmodified, no accidents or paint work, very well cared for, and in excellent condition. Clean carfax. Maintenance is up to date including LN Engineering ceramic intermediate shaft bearings and replaced rear main seal (the two most common issues you will hear about in a 996). Updated headlamps and revised 3.6l flat six motor in the 2002+ cars mark a significant improvement over the older 99-01’s.

Loaded with some very desirable options which make it a great driver and a head-turner everywhere it goes -- full leather interior including dashboard and door panels (makes a huge difference in how nice a 996 looks inside), excellent factory Bose stereo with subwoofer. Factory selectable sport exhaust (a switch selects “loud” or “stealth” mode. Factory flared rocker panels. “Sport design” 18” wheels with recent tires. Heated seats, rear wiper, HID headlamps, and more (see below).

This car has been a pleasure to own and drive. Everything works great, AC blows cold. Recent battery, starter, alternator, sport clutch, and water pump. Oil has been regularly changed with Pentosin or Rotella T6 5w40 oil. I did a blackstone oil analysis at the last change and it came back with a glowing bill of health. The car really shouldn’t need much of anything besides regular maintenance for quite some time.

The only flaws are a couple of paint blemishes, one long scratch on one rocker panel, and a minor exhaust rattle which shows up sometimes when cold. I have been told by others that this is easily a 8 or 9 out of 10 -- not a concours car, but you won’t find too many in better shape out there.

Only selling because I’m ready to try out something different. Car is available immediately and can be seen in Cary, NC. Clear title in my name, full service history, two working keys, owner’s documentation, and a few spares included. Call or email Mike at 919-454-5445 or whit32@gmail.com

I offered Mike a hug when I left, he looked like a kid giving up his puppy. I hope the check clears

I've got a 2001 B5 S4 waiting for you to come pick it up. :)

Glad this sold too...what a deal for this car with Mike's care coupled with the major engine worry point already taken care of. Good buy Cline!

Yeah, I wasn't sure I wanted it but once he listed it on craigslist I felt like Dustin Hoffman at the back of the church.

Can't decide if I want to go to a PCA event, I might pick up some new clients because those guys would have never gotten insurance from a guy driving a Mini. Then again, do I want to insure Porsche guys (you are not a Porsche guy Patrice)?

You know how we know you are old?

1. glass houses and rocks.

2. it's a car/ rock and roll movie, it should be taught in school.

3. you know you think this is hot

(Ann Bancroft, not a shirtless Dustin Hoffman-not that anything is wrong with that(reference for you generation))

Cut Cline some slack; he bought a Porsche, not a boat tail Alfa from the "Graduate".
