The artwork pictured above is something I put together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tarheel Sports Car Club. The original was given to Bowie at the Tarheel Christmas party. I had several people at the party ask me about getting a copy. So, I’ve decided to make some copies of it available as a sequentially numbered, open edition print.

The pricing will be $95 for a 16” x 20” print.
For $110 I can include a mat board like the one on Bowie’s that will fit into a standard 20” x 24” frame.
For $160 I can add a 20” x 24” frame like the one I used on Bowie’s. That way it will be ready hang when you receive it.
Add $10 for shipping and handling if you would like a print mailed to you in a shipping tube. I can only mail unmated/unframed prints since the cost of shipping a built up frame would be too high.

Prints should be available before Christmas if you order in the next week or so.

If you’d like to purchase one or if you have any questions please contact me through a PM or at: Shawn_Whipple at NC dot RR dot Com

Shawn, that's awesome!! I'm thoroughly impressed and can't imagine how long it took to do the painting with so many cars.

I can't even express how awesome this is. When I first saw the painting, I got chills as I started recognizing each of the cars. So cool to have a painting of 50 club cars for the club's 50th anniversary. And a such a nice gesture to give the original to Bowie. Great job, Shawn!

I was fortunate enough to see it in person and study all the fine detail Shawn put into his masterpiece. It is truly something special and Bowie absolutely loved it, as did I.

Awesome work Shawn!

Awesome!

But let me ask.. at the very top center... Pu-leeze tell me that the red car is an RX-7 and not a 1986 Chrysler XT Turbo.

Yes, I believe that is Brad's old RX-7.

Thank you to everyone who ordered a print so far!! I've sold out of the original run of prints I had made but I've had a few inquiries since then so I'm planning to get some more prints made. Please let me know if you'd like one.

Speaking of 50th anniversary stuff, I had contacted David Wallens at GRM about the club turning 50 and asked if he would consider interviewing Bowie. Had several emails around the August time frame and unfortunately nothing came of it. I tried to get us into GRM, but no dice, guess we weren't worthy =(

I've sent David one more email. Will advise what I hear....
