On the lookout for a Japanese daily driver for Kolu and her 16-year old daughter. Preferably Civic, Accord, Integra, or Corolla, but will consider other similar models.

Must have three pedals and a lever to select gears, as well as ABS. 2 or 4 door is fine. Doesn't have to be beautiful or fast, but does need to be reliable.

Let me know if you see anything. :)

My car history so far has been: German, Japanese, Japanese, German, Japanese. The German ones haven't been that great on reliability, and I can't break from tradition!

Fox body Mustang ftw! Just kidding.

How much do the Focus SVTs go for these days? Seriously though, you should be able to find a decent Civic or maybe a Celica in that price range if that fits the criteria.

Zach is my hero. My wife's DD is a 5-speed Ford Fusion. You should have seen the salesman's face when she said "No automatics'.

A Ford Focus should be cheap, reliable, easy to find with a 5-speed, and fun to throw into a corner.

Looks like that one sold....this could be fun--RAV-4 convertible? Needs CV axle. Based on price, might need more than that, but for $1650 it does get one's attention....
