My neighbor was asking if I knew anyone who might be interested in buying his car. It's a 91 silverstone, ~200k on the chassis and 70k on the motor, and he is asking $1000 for it. I took at look at it and drove it around a bit. Its got a lot of deferred maintenance (shocks and radiator clearly need replacing) but it does run and the motor sounds good. The front crash bar is straight, there are some body panels that aren't aligned quite right, the paint is failing in a few spots, and a quick look at the rockers for rust didn't show any. It's also generally dirty in the engine bay and I would expect to be replacing all the engine rubber and common wear items. There is also a reasonably recent Robbins top installed that doesn't leak.

Also, there wasn't any smoke on a cold start and the transmission felt smooth.
