I got these skis from a friend, but I know nothing about skis or skiing. We're not going to use them, so I thought I should sell them. Maybe it can fund my 2012/2013 club dues, or my trailer parts purchase (see my other thread in thi section) ;)

Or you guys who know anything about skis let me know if I have anything nice or just a bunch of junk. :)

$60 for all, or $30 for each pair of skis and $10 for each set of poles. In Apex near Jordan Lake, or can bring to work with me in RTP

1 pair skis: Rossignol Equipe 4s Kevlar w/ Salomon 957 composite bindings. No measurement written on them, but they look like 200cm compared to the 195s

1 pair skis: Dynastar Omega Kevlar Slalom SLS 195cm w/ Look 3D System bindings. 195cm. One binding has a piece broken off of it. These skis look nicer than the Rossingols, but what do I know? :)

1 pair poles (white): Gipron poles 18x0.9 (???) 48"

1 pair poles (neon green): Leki Flash poles 50", split in one handle (see pic)

Will upload pics in a few min.

Thanks!
Richard

Does your buddy realize that Rossi's are at least 26 years old? I bought my last pair of skis in 1986 as I started snowboarding exclusively in 1990 and the 4S was one of the skis that I considered before buying my K2's.

I tell him to donate them to charity and take the very small tax benefit. - AB

Richard, Aaron is correct. Those have very little to no value. You might be able to sell the look bindings to someone that collects those things but it's unlikely. Most shops won't touch bindings that old.

I'll take the Rossi's off your hands if they are in fact 200cm. I need a pair for long board day.

How do I measure the 200cm? Like is it just the flat, or the full length? The Dynastars have 195 printed on them, and the Rossignols are definitely a little longer.

That's good enough for me. I'll take them.

Cool!

Shoot me a PM about how to meet. I'm on Hwy 751 near Jordan Lake (sort of between Beaver Creek shopping center and Southpoint Mall), or I work in RTP at Alexander/147. I will be in Cary (Kildare/Cary Pkwy area) Saturday morning and also Sunday morning.

It is highly likely that skis that old will just break when used (mine did). If they flex much at all they will delaminate and lots of laughs will ensue.
