If anybody has one of these laying around or knows where one is in a junkyard, let me know. I'd prefer an actual STI rack, but even a regular WRX rack will work. It is going in my Forester to get rid of the awful variable rate rack I have now.

I'm also looking for WRX seats in solid or grey. Heated is a huge plus.

I have a pair of 02-03 WRX seats for sale, in case you're interested in those. Excellent condition. Not heated.

Thanks, Kevin. I'm going to exhaust the search for heated seats before I go with non-heated.

I have a stock 02 RS rack (same as WRX) laying around and I also have a sti rack currently installed on my car. It was purchased new from Subaru and has about 5k miles on it. Dramatic difference if u ask me. I wouldn't waste time with the WRX rack. Mine will be $300 once I put the stock rack back on.

Dave, when do you plan on doing that? I *just* sent Jeremy a PM about a WRX rack, but if it is going to be soon I might wait.

Thanks,
Brett

So you're saying the STi rack is much better?

Much faster. I think the STI rack is in the 13:1 range whereas WRX racks are 15.x:1 and some of the older no PS cars are probably 18:1.

93-04 Impreza/2.5RS/WRX 16.5:1
05-07 WRX 15:1
04-07 STi 14.5:1
Lancer EVO 13:1
Forester XT variable, 15:1 at center, going to 19:1 as you turn more

04 STI rack bolts into 93-04 non-STi, but you have to modify the column. Ray Metts has done this (at my house). It was lots of fun.

Also, STi rack makes a big difference vs. the 16.5:1 rack in tight mountain 180's on tarmac and gravel, and in autox slaloms, but not worth the $$$ and time for anywhere else, including anything you'll see on a rallyx course.

I"m saying the Sti rack is night and day better than a WRX or RS rack and another universe better than the FXT rack.
