Hey guys - going to go for time trials next year (car is at competition cages right now getting a bar done) and would like to know how you handle multiple drivers with the transponder?

Is there an option for multiple transponders?

Then you can either get the wireless ones and swap them out, or have a switch to toggle between the two.

The other option is make sure the drivers drive in separate groups through out the day.

Transponder needs to be specific to the driver.

We can loan you one temporarily for an event... the hard-wired one should preferably have an on/off switch to avoid confusion, but we can work around that if necessary.

We have allowed shared cars before in the TT with the same transponder, but the times don't count towards point if I'm not mistaken since there's no way to distinguish the results in Orbits (the timing software.)

In other words, we'd be able to give you the times from each session, and you and the co-driver can compare times, but that's about it.

Stacy is right on target. Easiest way to explain it is that the computer system ties the competitor and transponder number together for the event. It is not possible to have two competitors use the same transponder number.

We can work with you a number of ways...
1. Loaner transponder for the other person
2. One driver for Saturday and one for Sunday

Let me know if you have any questions!

Awesome. That makes a lot of sense. I'll at least start off with 1 transponder. Thanks.
