the are an older style seat that i bought used and it appears to be discontinued now. i'm not really sure what current style they would be equivalent to. i'll try to get some more information off them tomorrow when its light out and maybe a picture or two.

for reference i'm 6' and 145lbs i fit very well in the seats but i have also had instructors who were bigger than me and they didnt complain at all.

i'm well under 6' and well over 145lbs. fail, thy name is jtower.

i was looking at the omp hte and rs-pt seats, not entirely sure what the difference is as they look pretty similar.

I've got an OMP Pista and love it. You're more than welcome to come over and try it out.

Have you guys ever sat in RaceTech seats?
I'm looking at RT4000 and RT4009.

I've sat in both those models for s single session and they felt really nice. I think I could live with a RT4009 in my car driving all day long. They are real comfortable and surprised me considering they are a race seat.

I'd be curious for someone who has driven/ridden in OMP and RaceTech how they compare to you and why?

i sat in a racetech a few weeks ago (think it was a 4009HR) and the quality seemed very good. but be aware that their standard seat is *really* skinny, even average sized people are gonna be a tight fit. they do however make both wide and tall models but i wasn't able to try one on for size. they're also one of the most expensive seats out there but i wouldn't doubt that they're worth it.

obviously Jason you haven't seen Graham (Ichabod) Jagger recently. he probably needs an extra pad on the sides of the Racetech.

Graham is pretty scrawny so he wouldn't have problems with skinny seats.

Jason I'll get this thread split off. I have a different reason and issue than you do. I was looking at pricing. That OMP Pista that Denis has is not cheap. Price-wise that and the Racetech 4009 are right in the same neighbourhood. I would like to hear your opinion on that seat if you go sit in it.

Oh and the skinny thing. Kinda but not really. This year I gained 30lbs. Mostly in areas that make that Corbeau FX1 Pro not fit good anymore...

Graham

apex sells the pista for $879 w/ free shipping and 10% thscc discount. a sparco circuit or pro adv is similarly priced, while the racetech is $1300+. i have a fx1pro installed now and it's reasonably comfortable but doesn't have head protection, is a little lacking in support, and i'd have to install a back brace since it's not fia certified.
