OK, so I probably won't get the chance...

But Bryan Settle, Kevin Harvey, and myself will be attending the official unveiling event for Atlanta Motorsports Park tomorrow night in Roswell, GA

Bob Varsha is master of ceremonies for the event... sounds a little hoity-toity to me, but we're goin anyway.

french/canadian sport i think... val thorens, and other venues. what rally drivers do in their winter time off. great stuff i say. awd aws on ice with v6 power.yep, awd and all wheel steer with studded tires and v6's. it is really daft racing 10-30 cars sideways on ice at night under the lights sideways with four wheel steer and awd and signing v6 motors. really unreal to watch
also.. WRC is coming back to discovery HD in october

I'd like to ask him if he could get the network to air more episodes of "Pinks." I don't think several times a day is nearly enough.

Well... Bob hated that he didn't have more time to talk with me (ha!)... but it was a nice event.

What was supposed to have been an "exclusive" 125 people gathering turned out to be a 500 person melee! LOL I was quite impressed with the turnout. Obviously the purpose of the event was to drive membership sales (and it appeared to be doing a pretty good job of it.)

Open bar sponsored by Grey Goose (including the Grey Goose hostesses) ... helicopter rides directly from the Hennessy Porsche dealership parking lot over to the track site.

One of the designers of the track from Tilke was on hand and said a few words... Micheal Jenkins (Falcons wide receiver) was on hand and gave away an autographed Falcons helmet. They gave away a two-day Skip Barber package (which of course none of us won)

As we were leaving we also got to see a brand-new, just delivered GT3 ... MAN what a gorgeous car!!

I'll make another post about the track itself shortly... but I know two things:

It will be very unique to the region, and possibly the country

and it will be EXPENSIVE
(though they haven't announced any rental price structure yet.)

I realize this thread is worthless without pics... hopefully soon the site will start posting some
