The Nitto NT01s are actually back in the picture. Their price point is good and I have read positive comps to the RA1s on the always reliable internet forums......

there is a lot of complaining about the R888's on the nasa and other forums. Many are saying the tire just isn't as good, and go away faster despite having plenty of tread left.

Rob, I have a set of azenis that you can have free, can't speak for they're longevity or stickiness but they're free.
Did I mention they're free?

Thanks, I've got a set of those on the car, I am looking for R Comps for track. My guess is that corded RA1s don't grip so good

Hey Rob - also check Phil's Tire Service. He's currently got a deal on RA-1s in 205-50-15: $128 full tread, $143 shaved. He shaves them in house. Phil's very good - long time SCCA and NASA supporter. Matter of fact, if you happen to be at a NASA event on the same weekend he is, he'll bring the tires down for you.
